JINTEX Wins TCIA R&D Excellence Award, Setting a New Standard for Sustainable Chemical Innovation
With over 45 years of deep expertise and a strong spirit of innovation in the chemical industry, JINTEX has won the prestigious 2025 Taiwan Chemical Industry Association (TCIA) R&D Excellence Award for its newly developed "Novel Bisphenol-Free Fixing Agent For Acid Dyes, PA-5408." This award recognizes the company's outstanding contributions and innovative performance in the field of green chemistry.
Dr. Lin Yi-feng, the company's Vice President, stated that the award-winning PA-5408 was specifically designed to address the issues of residual high-risk substances like bisphenol F (BPF) and bisphenol S (BPS) commonly found in traditional fixing agents. Utilizing a patented polymer structure, the product successfully eliminates all bisphenol components. In addition to delivering superior wash fastness, sweat resistance, and a pleasant hand feel, it also demonstrates excellent environmental properties and operational safety. This award is a significant acknowledgment of JINTEX's R&D capabilities and a testament to its commitment to becoming a "leader in sustainable chemistry."
Dr. Chen Ruo-jun, head of the innovative functional materials team, noted that in the past, the market for fixing agents relied heavily on bisphenol compounds to improve fastness, but this raised concerns about potential harm to human health and the environment. In response to increasingly strict chemical regulations from the EU REACH, California Proposition 65, and major international brands like H&M, Uniqlo, and lululemon, JINTEX saw an opportunity. The company initiated its bisphenol-free product R&D project in 2022. After years of experiments and product optimization, PA-5408 was officially launched in 2025. Its performance not only rivals but even surpasses traditional products, providing an innovative solution to a global market that lacks a high-performance bisphenol-free fixing agent for acid dyes.

Founded in 1978, JINTEX has always upheld its core values of "Green, Innovation, and Responsibility," continuously developing high-performance chemical products that align with global environmental trends. Many of its products have received international certifications such as ZDHC, Bluesign, and OEKO-TEX® and are trusted by brands both domestically and internationally. The Novel Bisphenol-Free Fixing Agent For Acid Dyes, PA-5408, was unveiled at the 2025 Saigon Textile & Garment Industry Expo in Vietnam. It is already being tested and developed by multiple brand processors and will be promoted at upcoming international exhibitions, including TITAS in Taipei and ITMA in Singapore. The product is expected to see rapid expansion in high-end functional apparel, outdoor sports textiles, and infant and children's fabrics.
